A photograph of Clair

welcome

Clair's journey towards becoming a counsellor started in 2014, just before the transition into motherhood and has undertaken studies within the creative arts, psychology, social work & counselling.

Clair holds a Bachelor of Counselling (Griffith University) and is a Member of the Australian Counselling Association and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

Since starting her counselling career path, Clair has worked in the areas of domestic violence, homelessness and mental disability.

Clair was drawn to Counselling due to a desire to understand people's life situation and to assist them in finding the path that leads them forward. Clair believes that everyone deserves to be heard and understood with deep empathy and unconditional positive regard. With softness Clair explores your life in a holistic and open style, assisting clients to uncover their strengths within themselves, establishing goals and a balanced plan for the client to heal.

During a session, Clair draws upon approaches which may include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, a Strengths Based Approach, Narrative Therapy, and forms of drawing and collage.

Prior to counselling, Clair worked as a graphic designer and portrait & wedding photographer for over 20 years based here in Australia and in Europe. When not counselling, Clair enjoys creating artworks for her next print series and spending time with her husband and two sons in nature.
