Ali + Jess / the kingscote barn / tetbury / uk / 5th Jan 2013

The cold temperatures of the uk winter didn't stop these two love birds! Ali and Jess we're joined by their friends and family at Kingscote Barn in January this year for their gorgeous barn style wedding. Jess is Australian and met English born and bread Ali not too long after setting up her base in London. Such a gorgeous couple sharing a deep and understanding love, thank you for having me as part of your day x

I would describe the holiday as a quick but enjoyable dash, eating and driving our lil hearts out through both countries. We picked the car up in Geneva late one Friday night with Camera equipment in tow. I was photographing a lovely wedding in Todi, Italy in 7 days time.

Sunshine and crisp cool air filled our hearts and lungs whilst we climbed the Queen of Mountains of Switzerland in record time, camera with me at the ready. At the top we ate chocolate and croissants and rested on the fresh green grass feeling pretty good about ourselves. For 2 very work oriented Aussies living in London, we did alright :) more climbing to come in the future.

Another highlight was when we visited the small seaside village of vernazza on the cinque terre coastline of Italy. Bloody beautiful was the Mediterranean so simple peaceful and lovely/ Im sure we dreamed many times about never returning to our lives in London and staying there forever with the locals fishing off the waters edge every day x

Um, I feel I should confess our mistake for others to benefit from. Gt and I drove all the way down to Vernazza, along the dodgy coastline (me with my fingernails planted firmly in dashboard), without any signs to stop us along the way. the next week, four people were injured driving on those dangerous and overly decayed roads. Thanking our luck stars we got out of Vernazza alive - we realised there was a lesson learnt - that was to use the train next time :) So after escaping near death.. we hit the road again x

I feel so blessed to have visited these 2 amazing countries, Italy for the second time. I kept pinching myself when standing on the waters edge in a small Swiss township at the base of a majestic Swiss Alps Mountain, - early in the morning just before the hum of the day began...feeling so present and so alive. I have selected a few picks below for you to see our adventure. Also keep watch on the blog over the next week for the Wedding Photography of Mike and Kellie's Destination Wedding in Italy.

Shot Gun Road Trip / Geneva Switzerland to Umbria Italy / 14th Sept

It's funny, I always love holidays don't get me wrong, but I always seem to love them even more going back over the photos I take, they makes me smile, so preparing this blog post from the holiday I had with my man Grant in Switzerland and Italy in September was fun.

Mike + Kellie / Tenuta di Canonca hotel / Todi / Umbria / Italy / 19th Sept

Mike and Kellie were married in Italy, and I was asked to go along to photograph the big day. This was a destination wedding, all was organised from London. When the day came around it was all systems go. Kellie's smile rules the world, she was an amazing bride. Mike standing tall in his kilt and tie :) At the house, everyone celebrated into the night after the ceremony which was held in an old town situated high on a hill.. here's their story... x

Tom + Jaia / Century Club / Soho London / UK / 13th October 2012

Tom and Jaia met a few years ago when their paths crossed whilst working in the design industry in Central London. Perfectly fitting their personalities and creative style, these two love birds found sanctuary and tied the knot at the Century Club in the centre of Soho. Loved ones travelled from afar to celebrate the occasion. I watched in delight, snapping away and here's their story...

Steve + Louise / Kettlesing Village Hall / Harrogate / UK / 25th August

One of the things that I love seeing when taking photos is how on a wedding day, everyone pitches in. Friends, best mates, sisters brothers.. every one's there for the same reason, the common good - for the wedding celebrating of the special couple. This wedding is no exception. Steven and Louise were married in the softly lit surrounds of the Yorkshire Dales, in Kettlesing Town Hall. Louise being a fashion student designed her own dresses (for herself and her girls). Their group of creative and heartfelt friends & family made it all so special in so many ways.. I saw gorgeous cakes, a lively Kaylee and a beautiful rendition of "Your Love Keeps Lifting Me". There's nothing like a reason to celebrate and to feel good... enjoy! x

Andre + Charlotte / St Stephens / Beauberry House / London / 7th July

Meeting Andre, Charlotte and their little boy Zephan before their wedding was great. We met just over a year ago and chatted about the plans for their big day set for July this year. When the day arrived I felt very excited and a little emotional, as this day was not only sealing the deal between Andre & Charlotte but also celebrating the union of their special family of three. The ceremony was at St Stephen’s Church with a colourful evening proceedings held at Beauberry House complete with drummers and Caribbean music representing Andre's heritage. This day was such a great day full of touching moments, it was a
pleasure to photograph x
